You can book a course with Shagun, in the comfort of your own villa, to heighten your enjoyment of wines and provide you with knowledge to make it a conversation topic!
Novice sessions introduce wine, grape varieties, tasting techniques and an understanding of the subtle differences between wines. Specialized tasting sessions for Indian wines, explore the history, grape varieties and viticulture of Indian wines. Hone your cooking skills through culinary lessons with our chef! Our master classes are intimate and personal, fun and loud, and allow your inner chef to shine. We use only high quality ingredients and earthy recipes, served with spoonfuls of passion and extra virgin olive oil!
These lessons are personalized for you, following an informal consultation with Shagun, and include any of the dishes on the Coco Shambhala menu.

Shagun Mehra was raised in a family of hoteliers and studied at the prestigious École Les Roches in Switzerland, following her passion in culinary arts to pursuing a course in patisserie, French wines and cheese at Le Cordon Bleu in Paris. Shagun co-founded the KBR School of Wine in Mumbai, the first wine school of the country to be affiliated with the coveted WSET UK. She has acquired certifications in Intermediate & Advanced levels of Wine Study from WSET UK, which qualify her as a trainer.
Recognised as one of India’s foremost wine sommeliers, Shagun is a storehouse of knowledge and fun. Besides heading the culinary team, she also organizes exclusive evening experiences, exploring the sensory world of food and wine, at Coco Shambhala Goa in the form of intimate private dining, culinary classes and wine courses.
